Country star Leona Williams performs Feb. 16 at the Boren Center in Thayer, Mo.

Thayer, Mo. — Country music stars and songwriters Leona Williams  and Don Williams will perform 7 p.m. Saturday Feb. 16, at the new Boren Center, formerly the Oregon County Country Music Theater, in a special Valentine treat  for country music lovers.
Leona is a legendary fixture on the country scene and writes for some of the top country stars, including Merle Haggard to whom she was once wed. Some of her songs have been performed by Willie Nelson, George Jones, Randy Travis, and Tammy Wynette.
Leona has recently returned from her 5th Annual European Tour where she wowed country music fans, and she has performed for the last ten years in Branson and in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry.

Country music lovers and chocolate lovers will be in seventh heaven at this concert. Special chocolate treats will be available during the show.
Ticket price is $10 at the door and $9 in advance.

Coming from the north on Highway 63 you make a right hand turn at the McDonald’s stop light and go several blocks up the hill. From the South you make a left hand turn and go up the hill.

Leona Williams is coming to perform Saturday night, Feb. 16.

LEONA WILLIAMS, Country Singer and songwriter will give a 7:00 pm performance in Thayer, Missouri on Saturday, February, 16, 2013 at the Oregon County Country Music Theater, located on the corner of 6th and Walnut Ave.

While spending the better part of the last decade headlining some of Branson’s most successful shows, Leona continues to wow her fans in concerts across the nation and abroad. She recently returned from her 5th consecutive annual tour, entertaining thousands of country music fans from all over Europe.

 Leona, a Missouri native was inducted into the Country Music Association of Texas Hall of Fame in 1999. She was also honored with the prestigious George D. Hay Award in 2002 and was also inducted into the Missouri Country Music Hall of Fame. In 2011, Leona was with the Entertainer of the Year award by R.O.P.E. (Reunion of Professional Entertainers).

 Whether in a recording studio, concert hall or on stage at the Grand Ole’ Opry, Leona Williams always gives her very best to her fans and her music. She definitely presents a special class to the world of Country Music.
